Ah, come on. That just sucks!
Twitter doesn’t likes you anymore.
It just makes no sence why you dont get ANY tweet.
Maybe there is an option like “only get tweets from people who are following me” or something like that. Because, you get a tweet from Ariel, right? :-/
It’s funny actually, when I was little they were very dark blue… now they seem to change between blue, gray, and greenish… I can always tell when they look extremely blue because 4 or 5 people randomly ask me if I got coloured contacts But I’ve never worn contacts in my entire life, although I could do with a pair of glasses! It’s on my to-do list..
No, it doesn’t depend on mood. I’ve met a few people whose eyes change color. It’s a rare form of heterochromacy, which is itself fairly rare.
There are only two pigments in human iris: blue and brown. They are mixed to make all the various colors we see. Blue + Brown = Green. Little Blue + Brown = Violet. Little Blue = Grey (in certain light). You get all these color because the iris is covered by the curved lens of your eye, which allows distortion of the spectrum much like a prism.
In people whose eyes change colors, they have both color pigments. As a fetus, they had a fraternal twin. They had one eye pigment, and their twin had the other. The two fused into a single fetus, usually dominated by one twin. This means they have two different cell lines in their body. The total cell count for each line changes due to apoptosis and regeneration. In the eyes, this causes to amount of each pigment to change, changing the color of their eyes.
Hmmm interesting. I knew the part about only having blue and brown pigments (9th grade Biology ), but the rest was totally new! And Eppic, funny you should ask about if they change with my mood.. they don’t, of course, but I used to WISH they did when I was younger. As soon as I noticed that my eyes sometimes seemed to change colour, whenever I would get sad or angry I would run to the mirror to check for any differences (Yeah I was kind of a weird kid!)
And what’s this about having a fraternal twin as a fetus..? Really?? So, if that’s true and I have two different “cell lines” as you say, does that mean I might have brown-eyed children even if the father is blue-eyed like me and carrying the recessive trait?? (Not that I have any plans to start a family soon.. or a particular blue-eyed man in mind, for that matter!)
It’s possible. Of course your “twin” might have the trait for blue eyes, too. It also depends on which cell line formed your ovaries and follicles. It’s actually possible that you could have children that are only half-siblings. In fact, if they have two different fathers, they could be genetic cousins instead of genetic siblings.
Really though, most fetal fusions occur early in the pregnancy. Considering on twin is usually much larger than the other, you probably only have trace amounts of the second cell line. The irises of your eyes are one of the more mutable parts of the body in vivo. Like your skin and hair. The same thing that lets your eye color change is what would probably prevent you from having ovum of multiple cell lines.
Holy… You look so, so, SO beautiful in it! Thas soo cute! Just LOVE it!
Please more! ^^

Not a fan of the braids, but I love the shirt.
Your eyes are so blue, sometimes I think you’re wearing contacts.

Does it depend on your mood or change it randomly? At one day the eyes feel more blueish, the other greenish…

So this means… Andi has a fraternal twin insider her? Like Rusty Venture?
