…Just look at what a darling little angel he is when he’s sleeping! But don’t be fooled… he gets into a lot of trouble!

This time wasn’t so bad.. these were all hanging up in the closet, but he managed to get in there somehow and pull them off the hangers! Apparently he has a condition called “pica”, which just means he likes to eat clothing and other “non-food items”. It can actually be very dangerous as it can cause internal obstructions, so it’s important to monitor him to make sure he is still functioning normally. I’m honestly scared to leave him while in Montreal, but a very good friend is going to be staying at my place and taking care of Mozart, so I trust that everything will be fine.
We’re having BEAUTIFUL weather here today, so I think I’m going to go for a walk in a bit.. maybe try going tanning, I’m getting pretty pale! But first I’m going to sit around and watch trashy TV for the first time in YEARS…
… just got hooked up with cable and internet at my place about an hour ago 8). Looks like I won’t have to be “borrowing” a wireless signal from my neighbor anymore!
Oh yeah, and have a great weeked everyone!!! Hope Friday the 13th doesn’t bring bad luck for anyone!

XoXo Andi

Is there a better companion in the world than a cat? They are easy to care for, can be very loving when they want to be and are so fun to watch (except when they’re getting into trouble!). I scratch my aunt’s cat Chance in all the right places, so when he sees me he comes running! So sweet!
Hi, Andi,
Well, your clothing doesn’t look too damaged from the pictures. We’ve had cats for many years and I never heard of pica, but I guess its something to look out for. Thanks for the heads-up on it because all cats get into mischief sooner or later.
I had wondered if you left Mozart with someone when you travel or if you’d bring him along to Montreal. I know that Ariel has her little dog, Spunky, but she also has a cat, right?
Anyhow, enjoy your weekend and your new cable and internet.
Yeah these ones weren’t too bad.. and yes, Ariel has both a dog and a cat, and unfortunately Mozart doesn’t enjoy the company of other animals! Really going to miss him while I’m gone but it’s better for him this way I think!
Freezin where I am, not stopped raining for two days.
A great attitude to Mozart’s pica problem. I looked it up and it suggested counseling was the best way to go about it, get booking him into pica anonymous sessions. What a lovely pink nose and paws he’s got
You will have to webcam him often while you are away working.
Hey… that’s one comfortable kitten.
Have a great weekend as well Andi. Hopefully Mozart grows out of that phase!
I have never heard of Pica either.
I can only guess that it is for a photo shoot? I feel like I’m out of the loop on this
But I did know a dog who would chew on lots of things…and I KNOW that’s normal…but I mean he would go for shaving razors… :/ I’m not sure if he ever cut himself, but that is pretty dangerous. Does Mozart ever chew on razors or things like that? :/
Have fun in Montreal!
Andi,

good night and a beautiful pink girl’s dreams of love and light eroticism
Whatever you that your little cat Naughty many no-mind and not to destroy your favorite clothes and wardrobe.
In cats it is not normal that they do. Usually destroys things in the game… On the contrary, dogs are often out of boredom.
But the question is if I do not want each other to attract more attention – this is normal for young children especially during their so-called “first-year defiance” when the child begins to realize more of itself.
Then around the age of three years. (But here I can not directly compare the human developmental psychology

I’ve heard of pica in people, but in cats… that’s new to me. Can be very dangerous depending on what the person/animal eats. Sounds like Mozart doesn’t get into stuff that will hurt him, except for the thing about risk of obstruction.
More clothing for the “Stuff Mozart Destroyed” photo sets.
Pica? I just knew this as a unit.
My cat had this when she was younger. She chewed alot on cables, tryed to eat her toys and things like paper or cardboard til she was 5 or 6. Form that point she just stoped doing that!
The bad thing is: If Mozart is like my cat, you cant pretty much do anything. The only thing you could do is get everything dangerous out of his reach…
But maybe Mozart will also stop from one day to the next.
Your cat really like likes shirt straps hahaha.
